My name is Donna Atkinson, and I’ve been teaching piano for about 20 years. I teach ages 5 through adult, and especially enjoy introducing young people to the joys of playing piano. My favorite genre of music is classical, but I can teach all genres, based on the student’s interest.
I provide a thorough music education including theory, technique, and performance. Holiday music is one of my favorite things to teach, and I start students on Christmas music in October so they know several pieces by the holiday.
I like to teach music that students are interested in, so I let them choose a favorite artist or movie, and teach them music from that genre.
